Change is such an interesting thing. It comes in all shapes and sizes—custom-tailored to each of us, like haute couture. No two people experience it the same way, yet none of us escape it.

It can show up in the most unexpected ways:
¬ A new home in a different country (I know this one well!)
¬ A shift in marital status—whether that’s gaining a partner or losing one
¬A household transformation—becoming an empty nester or stepping into parenthood
¬The joy of welcoming a new life or the deep loss of saying goodbye to someone we love
But one thing is absolutely, positively true—change will happen. And honestly? How sad would it be if it didn’t?
For me, embracing change led me to reimagine my life completely. I sold everything I owned, packed up my life into two suitcases (and my tiny pup!), and set out to create something new.
Here’s the truth: We all have a choice in how we approach change. We can resist it, fear it, fight it… or we can meet it head-on with curiosity, courage, and a willingness to grow.
Now, I won’t sugarcoat it—some changes are gut-wrenching. If you’ve been a caregiver and suddenly find yourself without that role, I see you. I am you. That’s a conversation for another day, but just know, I get it.
But here’s what I do know: Change reveals who we really are. Our strength. Our adaptability. Our desire to move forward.
Is it easy? Heck no.
Is it doable? Absolutely, positively YES.
How have you navigated change in your life? Let’s talk about it.
